One Hour Can Make a Difference to Our Students
January is National Mentoring Month
January 20, 2009

When you were a child or young adult, was there someone in your life - a teacher, neighbor, relative, coach, or boss - who encouraged you, showed you the ropes, or just made time to listen, and helped you become who you are today?
Team Mates Mentoring Program, started by Dr. Tom Osborne in 1991, invites you to join others in serving as a mentor for our youth. Ashland-Greenwood Public Schools is a member of the Saunders County Team Mates Chapter. Team Mates is a one-to-one mentoring program that matches caring adults in our community with youth in our school.
Please consider making a positive difference in the life of an Ashland-Greenwood student. We need mentors for youth in grades 3-12. If you are interested in serving as a mentor, you may contact Kim Homes, Saunders County Coordinator, at 402-443-1029. You may also contact one of our school counselors for more information (Jon Richards - MS/HS counselor; Christine Cook - Elementary counselor).
