FB to Kickoff Friday

ALL IN!  The 2010 Bluejay Football Team has placed all their chips on the table and are ready to give everything up for the name on the front of their jerseys:  BLUEJAYS!  Fifty-seven players have been practicing for the past two weeks fine tuning fundamentals and techniques while adjusting to timing and schemes.  The intensity and effort has been at an all time high as the players have been preparing for their season opener against Columbus Lakeview on August 27th at Lakeview’s Football Stadium.

The team looks to have great depth going into their first game with so many returning players with Varsity experience.  This has produced practices with a very high level of competition between both players and teams.  The players believe that with their work in the weight room this summer, and what they have accomplished thus far in practice, they have a great chance at competing at a high level game in and game out which will lead to late season run through the playoffs.

Leadership has not been an issue.  Fourteen Senior players have taken control of this team and are steering it in a direction of high character and performance.  Seniors include:  Reid Beranek, Chris Christiansen, Mitch Estrada, Ben Fiene, Preston Kelly, Dylan Laughlin, Shane Meyers, Scott Neemann, Jake Nichelson, Pat Nissen, Eric Richards, Hadyn Ruge, Conor Sapp, and Seth Wiese.  Their demeanor on and off the field is only preparing this team for excellence.

The Junior Varsity Team kicks off its season at home on Tuesday September 7th against Conestoga.  The C Team starts its season traveling to Omaha Skutt on Thursday September 9th.  The coaches and players would love to see your support at they start their upcoming season.
