4th Grade Learns About Davinci's Contributions

4th Grade Students visited the Strategic Air and Space Museum on February 9th to learn about Leonardo Davinci's contributions to society. Through hands-on activities, students discovered that Leonardo Davinci was not only famous for his painting of Mona Lisa but he was also a leading pioneer to air and space travel, weapons of war, the anatomy of the human body and numerous other engineering and robotic discoveries.
During the museum tour, students watched an informational movie about Leonardo Davinci's discoveries and how they still greatly impact our lives today. Students were also engaged in classroom activities and a scavenger hunt of exhibits on display which included replicas of catapults, tanks, early machine guns, gliders, early helicopters, parachutes, pulleys, gears and much, much more!
