Middle School Students Shoot Hoops For Hearts
February 25, 2010
During the week of February 8 students from Ashland Greenwood Middle School along with the National Honor Society members participated in basketball competitions as a fundraiser for the American Heart Association.
These basketball competitions were used to promote exercise awareness for Fuel Up To Play 60. 7th and 8th graders played knockout, hotshot, and shot free throws. Winners received a heart to put on their back pack, bracelets, and tags. The top three students in each category received a heart. Travis Stewart and Brody Elliott were our top fundraisers. The funds that each student collected were donated to the American Heart Association.
