AGRICULTURAL CLASSROOM WELCOMES NEW STUDENT TEACHER

Welcome back to the new school year at Ashland-Greenwood! This semester the agriculture education classroom will host a student teacher from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. Alex Cumming, a native of St. Edward, Nebraska, is completing her degree program with a student teaching experience at Ashland-Greenwood High School with Ms. Estrela.

She will be teaching Introduction to Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources, Animal Biology, Ag Leadership, Food Science, Middle School Ag, and College Welding during the semester. She is excited to work with the students and learn about the Ashland-Greenwood agriculture education program. During the semester she will be coaching the parliamentary procedure teams and FFA Creed speakers.

Ms. Cumming shared, “I am excited to get to know the students at Ashland-Greenwood and make connections with the community. The staff and students at Ashland-Greenwood have been very welcoming and positive since I’ve joined the school at the beginning of August. I cannot wait to see how this semester goes!”

Ms. Cumming grew up on a farm outside of St. Edward and is a former member of the St. Edward FFA Chapter. Her interests include cattle, traveling, and spending time with family.
