4th Grade Students Step into the Past
Postscript, a local Ashland business, and the Ashland Historical Museum offered Ashland-Greenwood fourth grade students a wonderful learning experience last week. Postscript is currently displaying the Baltimorean Jobber #4, an antique printer manufactured in 1883. Each student had an opportunity to hand-operate the printer and make a print of the state of Nebraska. Owner Laura Capp also shared unique stamps and other historical items found in her shop.
The students then visited the Ashland Historical Museum which is operated by the Ashland Historical Society in the former Ashland Public Library. Patti Schofield shared pictures, articles and other artifacts that provide information on the history of Ashland. Students left the museum with a greater appreciation of Ashland's rich history.
