RAISE THE BAR RALLY MARCH 11
On Monday, March 11, 2019, Ashland-Greenwood Middle and High School students took part in the third quarter Raise the Bar Rally in the AGHS gymnasium. Julie Lade-Wills started off the rally talking about her art students doing very well on their recent Art Competition this year and recognizing the students that have been art students during the past four years. She also talked about how art teaches you many academic and life skills that will serve you well in your future and careers.
Guest speaker Donnie Laughlin shared his experience as an AGHS Bluejay alum and the importance of resilience throughout a person's life. Dayna Wilson and Emerson Lindley entertained students with a cello-flute duet of "Jupiter."
Shout-outs were given to Jacob Burman, the AGMS girls basketball team, AGHS Speech team for earning District Runner-up honors as well as State Speech qualifiers, and students who met or exceeded Clayton Anderson's ACT score as part of the challenge he annually issues.
Third Quarter Raise the Bar honorees included Jaycee Fangmeyer, Ellie Stein, Payton Gilliam, Andrew Burman, Joe Burke, Bryce Kitrell, and Blake Kobs. Thank you to our sponsors: Dairy Queen, The Gift Niche, AGPS Booster Club, Tantastic Nails, Blue Team.
