Ashland Greenwood FFA Sweeps Districts!

Within the FFA chapter, our first round of CDE districts, our chapter did amazing! On January 30th, members competed in Livestock judging, Floriculture, Agronomy, Biotechnology, and Food Science.  

In Floriculture we were District Champs with Ella Sparks taking 1st, Pennie Hayes 2nd, and Cinch Beetison taking 10th as individuals and overall doing an amazing job in their competition! In Agronomy, we were District Champions making the top four individuals with McKenna Sender in the lead with 1st place, Jessica Stander 2nd, Jaiden Tweton 3rd, and Janice Tejeda-Morales with 4th. Food Science also qualified for state placing 3rd overall! Our individual competitors at the top were Raquel Garman placing 3rd, Katie Reisin 5th, Alex Willaims 6th, and Elizabeth Malousek 7th. The Biotechnology team placed 1st in the district as well with all our individuals placing in the top 10 with Elizabeth Malousek in 1st, JB  Schrader in 2nd, Ella Sparks in 8th, and Ryland Stephans in 9th.

The Senior Livestock Judging placed 5th overall, good job competing! The team members on the senior team included Shane Allington, Ethan Hegwood, Cody Grauerholz, Ellie Stohlmann, Bryce Kjar, and Delanee Stauffer.  On the junior team, Ellie Whitehead got 6th place overall out of all the individuals, congratulations! Other members on the junior team consisted of Luke Lambert (1st junior Oral reasons) and Noah Wilhite.  

Fantastic job to all competitors and we look forward to competing at the state level. We wish them good luck and best wishes!
