FBLA RINGS IN THE NEW YEAR
As 2020 has come to a close, the Ashland-Greenwood FBLA chapter has completed several impressive projects in the first semester of the school year, in spite of restrictions due to the current pandemic. The members have resolved to make the second semester just as successful and look forward to additional opportunities to both learn and serve. In the coming months, FBLA members have numerous events to look forward to: a movie night social benefiting the local food bank, a 5k May Day Run, and most importantly, state competitions. Preparations for the State Leadership Conference are already underway, as groups participating in projects have been getting together to complete their various projects: Publication and Graphic Design, Business Ethics, Public Speaking, Digital Video Production, Public Service Announcement and Social Media Strategy just to name a few. In February and March, members will also start to study for their individual and group objective and computer tests. As these events approach, the FBLA officer team is also hard at work completing several ribbon projects in order to earn chapter awards involving community service and FBLA themed activities. Chapter officers and their squad of FBLA members are managing projects such as Go Green, Feed NE, Step Up 2 Tech, Prepare NE, and Connect to Business. Overall, the coming year of FBLA is sure to be just as productive and exciting as 2020 proved to be.
