BACK TO SCHOOL IMPORTANT DATES & INFORMATION

Please join us for Back-to-School Night on Monday, August 12th and 13th. All teaching staff will be available for you and your student(s) to meet and visit with. You are encouraged to visit your children's classrooms, meet their teachers, drop off supplies and visit specials (art, music, PE and media/library) and support staff. To accommodate the large number of attendees, we ask that families attend Back-to-School Night during the times noted below.

Back to School Night for the Middle & High School is Monday Aug. 12th from 5:30-7:30 PM.

Sixth Grade Orientation:

Sixth grade orientation is August 12th from 5:30-6:45 p.m. for all 6th grade students and their parents in the Performing Arts Center. During the orientation parents and students will get important information on procedures that are very important for you to know as sixth graders, getting your class schedules, locker information/combinations, and meeting your teachers.

Middle and High School students may check out their Chromebooks on Back to School Night if they have no previous fines (Media Center or any other fines from the 2023-2024 school year). Media fine sheets were sent out over the summer and all fines must be paid for before Back-to-School Night in order to check out your laptops.  We will not be collecting Media Center fines on that night.

Back to School Night for the Primary & Intermediate School is Tuesday, Aug. 13th from 5:30-7:30 PM.

Student Demographic and Release Forms (pink sheet)

These forms were mailed out in July.  Please complete and sign both sides and return them on Back to School night or on the first day of school.  Middle School and High School students WILL NOT be able to check out their Chromebook until this form is returned.

General Information for all students

Lunch deposits can be made at any of the buildings before or during Back to School Night.  You can make a lunch deposit for children in multiple buildings at the same time.

If you are normally eligible for free or reduced lunch you need to fill out the application again and be approved for this year.  Not only is it important for you to complete the application in order to receive free or reduced lunches this year, it also helps ensure the school district is eligible to claim state and local funding for the district lunch program as a whole.  Forms for Free and Reduced School Lunch/Breakfast can be found on the school website (under Parents > School Meals Links) for you to fill out and return to your school building on Back to School Night, or you may obtain a form at school.

The first day of school is Thursday, August 15th with students attending all day. The Intermediate School Day is 8:05 AM-3:10 PM, the Primary School Day is 8:15AM-3:20 PM, the Middle School High School Day is 8:07 AM-3:29PM, and the High School Day is 8:15 AM-3:29 PM

High School practices for Volleyball, Softball, Football, Girls Golf, and Cross Country will begin on August 12th. Concussion test information was emailed to all students and it must be completed BEFORE they can practice.

High School Fall sport/activity team pictures will be taken on August 12th from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM.  Please check your emails for more information. Seniors in ANY fall/winter/spring sports and activities will have their picture taken that day for Senior Posters. Athletes must have an order form filled out and money when pictures are taken to order pictures.

The Fall Sports Parent Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 14th at 6:30 PM in the High School Cafeteria.

Middle School sports will have sign ups and information available on Back-to-School night. There will be a MS Volleyball signup sheet and information packets in the front office. Mr. Fangmeyer will have a sign up for MS Football in his room. Mr. Morris will have a sign up and information for MS Cross Country in his room. Concussion test information was emailed to all students and it must be completed before they can practice. Please note the information below on physicals and participation fee.

Physicals & Participation Fee

Sports physicals must be completed on both sides and signed by parent, student, and doctor and turned in BEFORE you can practice. Please turn in all physical forms to the main offices. Athletes must pay a $30 participation fee prior to participating in all athletic activities. If you filled out the form for free or reduced lunch and qualified for it, you are eligible to get a waiver on the participation fee, but parents must call the main office to request that.
