Union Pacific Community Ties Giving Program Awards $10,000 to Ashland-Greenwood Community Performing Arts Center

Ashland, NEB. — The Union Pacific Community Ties Giving Program awarded a $10,000 gift to the Ashland-Greenwood Community Performing Arts Center (AGCPAC) this year, which helped put the finishing touches on the facility.

The funds were used to help cover a portion of the cost of the AGCPAC exterior doors and hardware. The doors are not just an essential component of the facility, they also represent the first point of connection between the future performing arts center and the community it serves.

The Union Pacific Community Ties Giving Program was established to promote strong, sustainable communities by funding projects that enhance the quality of life in their service areas. This contribution is an example of Union Pacific’s ongoing commitment to local impact.

"We are grateful to the Union Pacific Community Ties Giving Program for their generous support," said Jason Libal, superintendent of Ashland-Greenwood Public Schools. "This donation helped us finish construction on the performing arts center and will enable us to continue offering performances, educational programs and community events."

AGCPACofficially opened in 2024 as a community venue for music, dance, theater, civic engagement and more. Stay tuned for upcoming AGCPAC events and programming made possible in part by the support of the Union Pacific Community Ties Giving Program and other community sponsors.
