Ashland-Greenwood One Acts Finds Success

The Bluejay Drama Department wrapped up its One Act season on Tuesday, November 29. The district competition took place at Schuyler Central High School, and the Bluejays brought home a Superior Rating for their performance of How to Kill A Mockingbird, written by Bradley Walton. The technical crew received 10/10 for cooperation, respect, and organization.  Due to their standout performances, Jeris Pebley Anndannandus, Dayna Wilson, Paige Williams, and Jaxon Powell received Outstanding Actor awards at the district competition. 

The Drama Department also saw success at their Conference competition at the Lofte Theater in Manley, Nebraska on November 21st. Their performance earned a Superior Rating and a 3rd place finish out of 10 teams. Jeris Pebley-Anndannandus, Jacob Burman, Jaxon Powell, Paige Williams, Zharayah Williams, and Dayna Wilson all received outstanding actor awards. Jeris Pebley-Anndannandus earned the title of Best Conference Actor. 

The following students were members of the cast: Jeris Anndannandus, Zharayah Williams, Paige Williams, Jacob Burman, Dayna Wilson, Eboni Simpson, Jaxon Powell, Andrew Milburn-, Sierra Riecken, Andrea Dea, Katelyn Novak, Hailey Neylon, Libby Bivens, Ava Egger, Lauren Mead, Aiden Rowley. 

The following students were members of the crew: River Edie, Nathaniel McVay, Karma Nachtigall, Mykayla Rogers, Riley Lichtas, Jackson Nielson, Sadie Hobbs, Michael Risney, Kellar Barnes, Julia Brown, Tytan Fronterhouse, Megan Gerdes, Isabella Greenwade, Chance Johnson, Breleigh Mech, Liam Neylon, and Hailee Pleiss.

The team is coached by Ms. Jan Jacobs, Mr. Jeff Kuhl, and Ms. Jordyn Sheil.
