Playground Expansion Complete at Ashland-Greenwood Primary Elementary

Launch the media gallery 1 playerOn Tuesday, November 19th, the Ashland-Greenwood Primary students and staff participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the AG Primary School playground expansion. This expansion was generously funded by the donations from private donors as well as the Ashland-Greenwood Public School Foundation.

Throughout last week, many students earned Bluejay tickets by demonstrating positive behaviors as part of the Bluejay Way. These Bluejay tickets were then entered for a chance to be selected as a Bluejay Flyer for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. What a memorable way for students to celebrate their efforts—being among the first to enjoy the new playground features like the swings, basketball court, and turf! Hundreds of students entered their tickets and excitement was high among all students for the expansion.
This project demonstrates the importance of community and the positive impact of the generous support like that of the Ashland-Greenwood Public School Foundation. The new playground will undoubtedly be a valuable space for students to grow physically, socially, and emotionally. We look forward to this space being an asset to the Ashland-Greenwood Primary building as well as to the Ashland community!
