2017 Bluejay Football

Play with Heart

The 2017 Bluejays have set high goals this season but everything comes down to playing with HEART:  Hunger, Effort, Attitude, Relentlessness, and Toughness.  Each day the team is striving for a strong heartbeat that will allow them to reach their fullest potential.  The Bluejays’ heartbeat will be tested this Friday, August 25th, as they travel to Wahoo.

The team, consisting of fifty-one players, returns a core group that have varsity experience but will ask a lot of new players to step up.  The goal, as always, is to combine the returning experience with athletes that are going to be asked to play big roles on the team.  The players have taken it upon themselves to be the most prepared team in the state.  Practices have been both physically, and mentally, challenging but the level of competition has been high.  The players believe that with their work this summer, and what they have accomplished thus far in practice, that they have a great chance to compete at a high level game in, and game out, which will put them in position to be successful.

The JV Team kicks off its season by hosting Freeman on Monday August 28th.  The C Team will travel to Plattsmouth on August 31st to start their season.  The coaches and players would love to see your support as they start their upcoming season.
