AG Represented Well at State Science Fair
JessePaul Heitman, a 6th grader, represented Ashland Greenwood Public School at the Nebraska state competition. JP’s project’s purpose was to know the best amount of water to give plants per week to get maximum water conservation, especially since the United States has been in a drought. Each regional in Nebraska sent their top 6 projects in 6-8th grade for a total of 36 projects. JP received an award for the best use of The International System of Units and as a participant in the Nebraska Junior Academy of Science state competition he also was given a free Henry Doorly Zoo day pass. The zoo also brought several critters and some hands-on experiments and nature crafts for the students. The science fair project in 6th grade is not required, it is not a grade, and it is a lot of work. JessePaul started his project in September 2022 to further his knowledge in science. He collected data for 6 weeks and analyzed his results. He made a display board, wrote a research paper, and prepared a presentation for the judges. JessePaul represented AG extremely well at the state competition. Congratulations JessePaul and way to #RaiseTheBar.
