Middle School Track Team Brings Home Hardware
The Ashland-Greenwood Middle School Track team had many student athletes qualify for the State Track Meet in Gothenburg, NE this past weekend.
On the girls side of the team, the qualifiers were:
100 Meter - Jade Sargent
200 Meter - Averi Bridges and Jade Sargent
200 Hurdles - Taylor Downing
4x100 Relay - Taylor Downing, Jade Sargent, Averi Bridges, Jaycee Downing (Alternates: Adelyn Harms and Vanity Laughlin)
4x400 Relay - Averi Bridges, Avery Whaley, Jade Sargent, Jaycee Downing (Alternates: Adelyn Harms and Jada Carson)
Shot Put - Lainey Barent
On the boys side of the team, the qualifiers were:
200 Hurdles - Liam Jensen
4x400 Relay - Maddux Gagner, Rogan Cerveny, Liam Jensen, Aiden Hanger (Alternates: Kazmoe Walker and Jovani Alexander)
Triple Jump - Aiden Hanger
Shot Put - Barrett Kitrell
Discus - Barrett Kitrell
The AG participants that were able to bring home some hardware were:
Jade Sargent - 100 Meters (1st place); 200 Meters (1st place)
Taylor Downing, Jade Sargent, Averi Bridges, Jaycee Downing - 4x100 (2nd place)
Averi Bridges, Avery Whaley, Jade Sargent, Jaycee Downing - 4x400 (3rd place)
Barrett Kitrell - Shot Put (6th place)
Liam Jensen - 200 Hurdles (7th place)
