Building Opportunities for A-G Students
The vision that Ashland-Greenwood's Skilled and Tech Science Teacher, Dustin Foutch, has for his programs is special and he is literally 'building' amazing opportunities for our students. Already this year, he's taken calls to enlist AG students for help with home projects. In the short few weeks we've been in school, Dustin's already had his students out pouring concrete sidewalks and replacing stair treads for a backyard deck out in the community.
Local resident, Michelle Grell, sent us pictures of the teacher and students in action near her home last week and she said "Listening to him explaining things to his students was really cool. What great hands on experience for them all! Well done, Dustin Foutch!"
When I asked him about all that he has scheduled for the students, he told me that due to all the calls he's taken, their schedule is pretty much full, but he is excited for a class that will actually be helping to build a house from the ground up. Having an experience such as that is a vision he's had for his students for a long while now, so he's happy that they will actually get to be a part of that this year.
